Soñar Antes

And then the walls caved in; I remember the radiator at a slant, bent and leaking. On the ground, the floor was dust, concrete and patches of torn carpet. All my possessions crumpled; clothes and my stereo and all complex, expensive electronics stupidly crushed, staring back from a ridiculous grimace of impotence and inutility.
I laughed and then lied down quietly among the crumbs and stones of shapeless rubble.
You could now see the stars in pieces of sky carved out of the roof in curiously shaped holes.
In silence, thin clouds passed above my head.
I breathed out once then slept.
